A Shabby Wonderland

If you make one trip in SL this weekend, then dive head first (literally for some depending on viewer choice) into a big scrummy helping of Chocolate Pie. A feast for lovers of all things Shabby and Chic, the sim recently opened a new string of little boutiques including Tatty Soup, The Cats Whiskers and DabbleRae. Those, added to the flagship of CC Decor and the wonderful feast for the eyes that is CS Shapes by Xanthe Audeburgh make this a playful, colourful and memorable retreat.

Destination - Slow

I had a lot of problems TP'ing in SL this morning, but as luck would have it I hit on this gem after trying to teleport to several other places in search of the perfect winter destination. There are no Snowmen, no skating Polar Bears, not even a glimpse of Santa. What they do have is a beautifully textured and really well thought out diorama of cosy little contemporary stores, an Airport departures lounge converted to a make-shift bazaar selling everything from trinkets and gadgets to modern interior fabrics, there's lots to see and do, maybe even a few photo opportunities. So this winter I'm recommending a little trip to the wonderful sim of Slow.
