Destination - Slow

I had a lot of problems TP'ing in SL this morning, but as luck would have it I hit on this gem after trying to teleport to several other places in search of the perfect winter destination. There are no Snowmen, no skating Polar Bears, not even a glimpse of Santa. What they do have is a beautifully textured and really well thought out diorama of cosy little contemporary stores, an Airport departures lounge converted to a make-shift bazaar selling everything from trinkets and gadgets to modern interior fabrics, there's lots to see and do, maybe even a few photo opportunities. So this winter I'm recommending a little trip to the wonderful sim of Slow.

Destination - The Petrovsky Flux

I can't really do justice for this new exhibit at the Spencer Museum of Art on the SL grid. It's a constantly changing, moving and quite organic explosion of art as seen through the eyes of it's designers - Blotto Epsilon & Cutea Benelli - Every visit is unique as you'll discover new things, little details you may have overlooked before. You can clime, explore, fly around and even experiment with sound and movement whilst playing your own unique haunting melody at the pavillion. I couldn't recommend visiting the Petrovsky Flux highly enough.

Warming Up For Halloween

Yes it's that season again, when one day of the month is celebrated - by business owners and shoppers alike - over the course of the 30 days leading up to it. The Haunted Carnival at my main store is taking shape nicely, be sure to set your viewer to 'night' or a suitable windlight setting, as well as having your sound on for the full effect. Earlier today the 7Seas fishers turned out in their usual good numbers and high spirits for a contest to get things under way.

Destination - Imagine Peace Tower

It's round about a year or coming up to, that Yoko Ono's 'Imagine Peace' Tower was unveiled by the woman herself in SL. So I took the invite laid down in her Twitter a few days back and decided to pay a visit to see how it's getting on. The tower is switched on automatically - but with a nice twist which I won't spoil - shortly after 3.20, 7.20 and 11.20 that's am & pm, six times a day in total so you can plan ahead. Destination - Visiwa Sims

This was a second visit to the Visiwa Sims this year, it's such an inspiring place and photo opportunities are ten a penny. There are eight conjoined Sims, dozens of Islands and private little coves. The main port of call is Mwituni with it's arcade of stores and well preserved buildings wrapped around an inlet housed by boats old and new. My personal favourite Sim here is Bandari, its quiet little cove reminds me of somewhere I often dream of visiting.
